On September 15, Ole Rom Andersen joined Greenport North as Chief Innovation Officer. With Greenport North’s work within the area of CCS as a starting point, Ole will be engaged in developing knowledge and initiating activities in the green fuels arena. He will be spearheading the building of an innovation platform for the facilitation of sustainable business development for commercial enterprises in the fields of energy, transportation, and circular industries. The platform will also be the foundation for the aggregation, development, and dissemination of knowledge about green solutions for ports and port-related businesses.
The ambitious methods, models, and technologies for the energy systems of the future and sustainable growth developed in Hirtshals can be employed by ports all over the world. The potential for harnessing green energy for blue business using CCUS, P2X, sector coupling and circular production is huge.
Ole comes with extensive experience with international business development and management of innovation projects with sustainability at the core from various companies in the USA, Europe, and Denmark. He has worked in a range of industries from software development, transportation and logistics, electronics to production of sustainable products based on grass proteins.
