BETTER ENERGY DECISIONS AT ISAFOLD

At Pelagic fishing company Isafold in Hirtshals, HERA will provide a comprehensive overview of the company’s energy production and consumption. The company operates solar panels on its facilities and consumes energy across both its buildings and vessel, which connects to Isafold’s shore power system while berthed in port.

According to Karsten Mølgaard, gaining a more detailed understanding of how and when energy is used is a key priority:

“It is important for us to understand how much electricity we use, what we use it for, and when throughout the day. Our operation is energy-intensive, so it is highly valuable to identify optimization opportunities through detailed monitoring of our equipment and operations. We are also committed to the green transition—at a pace that allows us to adapt and develop sustainably.”

INTELLIGENT REFIGERATION MANAGEMENT AT HIRTSHALS STEVEDORE

Hirtshals Stevedore participated in the development phase of HERA, and the results demonstrate the platform’s potential in practice. An annual savings potential of as much as 36% of operating costs was identified – without any investment in new equipment or infrastructure.
